My first thought after finishing this book was that I need to get my hands on the last one. đ I finished reading P.S. I Still Love You on my plane ride to Los Angeles, and I immediately texted my friend when I landed to borrow her copy of Always and Forever.
This book had my heart racing and mind churning throughout each scene. We’re introduced to a new character, John Ambrose McClaren, and he’s so freaking precious. I love him so much, and, dare I say, he gives Peter a run for his money. đ Plus, I’m so excited at the prospect of seeing our cinnamon roll hit the big screen because wasn’t the first movie adorable AF?!
Spoiler-free Summary: Lara Jean didnât expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they werenât. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jeanâs feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
I give this book 4.5/5 stars. âââââ The writing still feels somewhat choppy at times, but it has definitely improved. It doesnât take away from a fantastically crafted plot. I highly recommend this book to everyone and fingers crossed for a movie! Also, be sure to check out my review and discussion for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. đş

Writing
The writing has definitely improved from the first book. đ There are still scenes where it feels frustratingly unfinished, but overall, there is a better flow between the chapters, tying the storyline together. The transition between the first book and this book is also very seamless because the story picks up right where the last book left off when Lara Jean goes to Peter to address the hot tub Instagram fiasco.Â
Characters
Lara Jean. While she has grown a lot since the first book, I still wish she would stand up for herself more. đ¤ˇââď¸Â She kept a lot of her thoughts to herself and should’ve just communicated with those around her *cough cough Peter* Still, I really enjoyed watching her overcome the struggles that are thrown at her.
Peter. I got pretty frustrated with him at times, but I know he has a good heart so I canât get mad. What the fudges are you doing with Genevieve?! I can understand that he is trying to be a good friend to his ex, but no girlfriend would ever feel comfortable with her boyfriend hanging around an ex that much.  John. John Ambrose McClarenâŚyou are so freaking precious!! đ Heâs the gentleman that every mother wants their daughter to date. đI loved how he was so sweet and kind, and he was just so caring towards Lara Jean. The best part is that he’s respectful of her feelings and understands that Lara Jean is still in love with Peter.
Other Characters: Kitty. We donât see a lot from Margot in this book, but Kitty has been growing on me. She shows a lot of thoughtful maturity for her age, but she also brings some much-needed humor. Genevie. This girl is such a b*tch. đ  I know that weâre supposed to feel sorry for her because sheâs going through family problems (finding out her dad is cheating on her mom), but that shouldnât excuse her horrible actions. She literally showed a video of Lara Jean and Peter kissing at a student assembly! đ˘
Plot
There were so many fun scenes in this book. đ The time capsule party, the assassin game, the costume party–I wish my life were that entertaining! We also continue to expand on family relationships and Korean culture which is wonderful.Â
Romance
LMAO so Josh is basically nonexistent in this book. đ I wish we had more closure with him because I feel like his potential romance with Lara Jean was only brushed on briefly in the previous book. I understand that this book is meant to be a new beginning, but I wish we saw him more often.
This book is all about Team Peter vs Team John. Iâm honestly conflicted because I love them both. đ¤ˇââď¸Â I loved that LJ and Peter got back together, but their relationship was truly a roller coaster ride with all the jealousy and exes and potential romances. A lot of their relationship problems could’ve been resolved with open communication, but of course, it’s not the cutesy YA book we love if there weren’t any teenage angst.
One of my absolute favorite scenes is the costume party scene where John Ambrose drives up in a convertible dressed in an army soldier uniform and Lara Jean is all dressed up in a red dress and pinned hair. đ Do you hear that? It’s me squealing swooning screaming. Where can I get myself a storybook romance??
In Conclusion
I need the next book ASAP!!! I want to know what happens next! đąÂ Will Lara Jean and Peter finally have a fully-trusting and fun relationship and live happily ever after? Will John return and swoop her off her feet? (Unlikely because heâs such a gentleman but who knows??) I guess we just have to stay tuned!

Aww thank you ⤠I loved this series so much, and this book is probably my favorite out of the three! They really need to make it into a movie because the last scene was John Ambrose McClaren was too good đ

Ahhh your review made me smile and made me overall really happy ⤠I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much – I think out of this series, the second book is my least favorite, but it was still quite awesome. I still loved the characters very, very much, but I think that the last one is closer to my heart because it's a perfect ending (for me it was, at least). I hope they will make that one into a movie as well, how amazing would that be? đ

Aww thank you!! I think this might be my favorite in the series đbut I love the third book second best! It’s tricky because I love the entire series so much, so it’s tough to decide which I like the most. I recently saw Netflix tweet “Deal” tagging To All the Boys’ account, so I think this means we’re getting a sequel?! đąđđIt would make me so freaking happy because it’s so cute and fluffy, but it also shows how much influence our community has to do it. đ
LAVA YOU MARIE â¤
