Best Book Reviews

magical reads

Michelle @ Magical Reads. Michelle is one of my favorite bloggers to turn to when I’m debating whether or not to pick up a book. Her reviews are always incredibly well written, and she somehow knows how to put all your thoughts about a book onto a screen. She perfectly captures all your feelings and hits all the key points which is why I love reading her reviews. 💙 Plus, I feel like we have fairly similar opinions!

Best Book Recommendations

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is header-2-resize_2500.png

CW @ The Quiet Pond. I love the friends at The Quiet Pond with all my heart from the book reviews to bookish news updates. ✨ It’s easy to say that Varian the frog gives some of the best book recommendations in the entire blogosphere and that’s because you can really see the time and effort CW has put into researching up-and-coming as well as backlist books. I think what I like best about Varian’s (AKA CW’s) book recommendations is that it’s specifically tailored towards certain themes (e.g. Pride month, Asian Pacific Heritage month, etc.) yet it’s still welcoming and inclusive.

Best Discussion Posts

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is drizzle-and-hurrican-books-tornado.png

Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books. Marie is one of my favorite bloggers and blogging inspirations, and I still constantly check her blog on a weekly daily basis to read her updates. I feel like Marie is one of the most genuinely kind people in the world, and I’m really glad that I was able to befriend someone like her in this community. Her discussion posts are always super thought-provoking and touch both fun and serious topics. 💖

The Orangutan Librarian. Whenever I scroll through my WordPress feed and see a post by The Orangutan Librarian, I always click to read it. From lighthearted and fun posts to deeper dives into more series topics, their discussion posts are always super fun to read! 🍌🙈

Best Blog Aesthetic

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is header-2-resize_2500.png

CW, Joce, and Skye @ The Quiet Pond. My friends at the pond deserve constant endless praise for their creativity in crafting the awesomeness that is The Quiet Pond. The entire blog aesthetic is original and cute with the perfect touch of magic. Each individual pond friend has a specific niche that makes every post particularly engaging to read! These past two months have been especially spectacular with so many guest posts and fun visitors~💫

Chloe @ Marshmallow Pudding. From my blog aesthetic, you can probably tell that I’m such a fan of the soft pink aesthetic, and one of my favorite bloggers who captures this entire ~cute~ persona is Chloe! Even just the name of her blog is SO. FREAKING CUTE. I love her logo and browsing through her blog is always relaxing. 🍡🍮

Best Blogging/Writing Voice

Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea. I’m the type of person who reads blogs for the writer behind the blog, and one of my favorite bloggers who continously impresses me with her personality and voice is Caitlin! ✏️ She always tackles fun and interesting topics in her discussion posts, and even regular posts like wrap-ups are interesting when she’s writing them~ When she’s writing, I always feel like commenting!

Rain @ Book Dragonism. One of my favorite blogging voices is definitely Rain who has such a fun and enthusiastic personality. Her reviews are always incredibly well-written, but I also just love how we have complementary tastes in books which makes it even more exciting to read her content. She has a distinct writing voice that is always fun to read~!

Most Helpful

Reader Voracious

Kal @ Reader Voracious. Kal writes some of the most helpful how-to discussion posts in the blogosphere whether it’s about how to request ARCs, how to navigate and use Edelweiss, or how to organize your reading and blogging life through spreadsheets. ✏️ I learn so many important tips and blogging hacks that I didn’t think I’d need to know until I read her posts. She’s incredibly passionate about helping and educating other bloggers, and her discussion posts are a reflection of her desire to help others.

Xandra @ Starry Sky Books. Xandra is also another blogger who is constantly willing to help others in the community. I love how unique all her ideas such as her latest post about editing Instagram photos with digital books. She’s such a kind and thoughtful personality in the blogosphere, and I love checking out her blogging tips post the most!

Most Supportive

Lori @ The Reading Fairy. Lori is such a kind personality in the community. She’s always engaging with others about their content, and overall, you can tell Lori is someone who is extremely passionate about supporting her fellow bloggers. 💖 I will forever appreciate her for being so supportive about the debut of “subtle asian book club.”

Clo @ Cuppa Clo. Words can’t even begin to describe how much I appreciate Clo. Clo was one of my first blogging friends when I started out, and the past two years would have been grey without her constant kind words and supportive thoughts. 💜 You can always count on Clo to cheer the community on! *big hugs, clo*

Most Engaged in the Community

Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books. I honestly could not have gone through this entire blog post without mentioning Marie because she is one of my favorite bloggers in existence. 🥰 When I first started blogging, Marie was my biggest inspiration, and now, I’m so lucky and proud to call her a close friend! In my opinion, Marie is the most engaged in the blogging community, constantly checking on others and advocating for bloggers on social media.

Most Creative

May @ My 1st Chapter. May is incredibly artistically talented, and one of my favorite features on her blog is where she recreates her favorite book covers. Truthfully, all of her posts are super creative and fun to read, but these posts in particular are always cool to see because she puts her own spin on popular titles!

Saoudia @ With Love, Saoudia. Saoudia is another blogger in the community that I absolutely adore, and we also have similar tastes in both books in K-Pop. One of my favorite posts on her blog is where she associates her K-Pop biases with different books, and I think this was such a fun way to combine two interests when providing book recommendations!

Best Social Media Influencer

Clara @ The Bookworm of Notre Dame. Of course, when it comes to this award, I have to nominate the Instagram aesthetic queen herself….Clara! 📸 I love her aesthetic blog posts and mood boards, and I especially love her Instagram which is so freaking beautiful! If you’re not following her Instagram, I don’t know what you’re doing~!

Best Personality

Marta @ The Book Mermaid. Marta is seriously one of the sweetest and most thoughtful and supportive members in the blogging community, and I really can’t appreciate her enough. 💛 She’s nothing but friendly, heartwarming, and kind. Having someone like her in the bookish community makes it a better place.

Ilsa @ A Whisper of Ink. This entire blog post is just me gushing about my favorite people, but I absolutely adore Ilsa, especially since we have such similar tastes in books. I feel like I can talk to her shamelessly about anything from Wattpad books to my trashy romance faves. She’s such a kind and fun-loving person!

What Vicky Read

Vicky @ What Vicky Read. Vicky is another blogger who I really love and appreciate in this community. I always love interacting with her, and all our conversations whether through blog or Twitter never fail to brighten my day.

Friendliest Member of the Community

Small Stained Pages

Riv @ Small Stained Pages. is one of the kindest and caring bloggers that I know. She’s always incredibly supportive of her fellow bloggers, and her presence and friendliness shine like sunshine. She’s incredibly sweet, and I couldn’t imagine the book community without her~! I’m also slightly biased because she’s my pen pal buddy, and it’s always a joy for me to interact with her.

Caro @ Book Chesire Cat. Another super kind and supportive blogger that I absolutely adore is Caro. Whenever I see that she’s commented on my blog posts, my day is immediately brightened. ✨ She’s always incredibly thoughtful when she writes her own posts and comment on others’ posts.

Best at Promoting Diverse Books

SUNSHINE N’ BOOKS

Maha @ Sunshine N Books. Maha very quickly became one of my favorite bloggers, and out of all her amazing posts, I especially loved her Muslim experience blog post. Maha is someone who I admire endlessly for her vocal support of diverse reads in the community, and she’s always serving as a voice to uplift marginalized and under-represented bloggers. She’s also a fellow daughter of Aphrodite! 💖

Kate @ Your Tita Kate.love love love Kate(!!) She’s like the older sister/cool aunt I’ve always wanted, and despite her cool badass demeanor, she’s really a softie with a heart of gold. She’s someone I look up to so much for her passion in promoting diverse reads in the community and being a constant supportive voice. She’s such an important voice in the book community and has impacted so much positive change.

Best New Book Blogger (started blog after August 2019)

love yo shelf

Lauren and Orianna @ Love Yo Shelf. I’m honestly shooketh that Lauren and Orianna are pretty new bloggers because they are incredibly professional and their posts are *chef’s kiss* They blog like they’ve been doing it for years. I absolutely love how they use her platform to boost marginalized voices and advocate for more diversity in the book community. 🌟 I cannot wait to see more of what they accomplish in the coming years!

Best Overall Book Blogger
